Leave specific animal/color requests below if you are interested. Please note, pricing generally ranges between $14-34 depending on the complexity of the piece. You are NOT committing to buying, but please don't make requests if you have zero intentions of following through :)

Hi everyone!

As always, thank you for your continued support while I've been away. It's been a busy time for me since I was headed off to Africa back in January. I finally got though all of my pictures, but am still behind on the uploading. I have also started in a new acting manager position, which explains where much of my time has gone.

If that wasn't enough to keep my hands full, I've also been nurturing a retuned family member since December of last year, my horse Belle. I'd love to share her story with all of my lovely dA family and ask for your support.

Here's a bit about our story:

"Ten years ago, this lovely little lady came into my life. After being away at college for years, we decided it would be in Belle's best interest if we found another home for her that had more time to spoil her. We found this - or so we thought - with a family friend with property in which Belle could move to and be surrounded with the attention she deserved.

A seemingly perfect fit went awry when all communication stopped. I was in the dark for years with no word of how she was doing despite numerous attempts at contact. After five years, I finally got a message... it stated that the owner could no longer afford her and that she needed a new home.

Now, I'm a reasonable person. Belle is 25 years old, and horses don't live forever. I told myself that if this was something I could finically take on - meaning no long term health issues - then I would. However, if this was going to be a life-long medical struggle, that I would have to look at her options and go from there.

Well, the news came in, and it wasn't good. After being severly neglected, aside from needing all the routine procedures such as vaccinations, dentals, and shoes, she also had an advanced progression of a medical condition in both front legs called ringbone. She was completely lame, meaning she in pain and unable to walk properly. With the grave news, in which I told told myself as a single twenty-something year old I could not take on, my heart was screaming. Even though I told myself I would walk away, I couldn't leave an otherwise healthy, loving animal to suffer.

Six months and thousands of dollars later in vet visits, farrier appointments, supplements, medication, and more, I am happy to say that Belle is back to her normal, sassy attitude... Other boarders always comment that she looks so much better that she did a short time ago, and especially great for her age.

However, she still has a long way to go. We just had a lameness re-check and the progress has not reached what we would have liked to see by this time. This means that we're upping the medication and increasing the frequency of trimmings, as well as needing another set of (very expensive) x-rays in the not-so-distant future.

It is likely that I will never have a chance to ride Belle again, but I want her to live out her days in as little pain and with as much love as possible.

I am not the type of person who takes asking other people for money lightly. As you can see, it's taken me this long already. However, I have an incredible friend helping me along this journey who has dedicated countless hours to helping medicate and take care of Belle and I am so overwhelmingly grateful for that. She has also taught me that it is okay to try to reach out, especially when it involves another life.

So, with that, I am asking anyway that if you are able, to help me accomplish that. I appreciate each and everyone one of you who have taken the time to hear Belle's story and I would be happy to tell you more about her. I know it's asking a lot during a time where money is tight all the way around. Any small amount helps and we'll both be forever grateful for your generosity."

As a special thank you to my dA family, if you are able to donate,
I would love to thank you with a prints from my Africa series.
Since I am not finished uploading my photos, if there is an african species you do not see and are wondering if I have a shot, I'd be happy to let you know and upload accordingly. If you would prefer one of my other photographs, please inquire.

For a $15 donation, I will send you a 4x6 print of your choice.
For a $25, I will send you a 5x7 print of your choice.
For a $50 donation, an 8x10 print of your choice.
Donations larger than $50 are unexpected, but I would be sure to send you a gift of substantial gratitude.

How it works:
Visit our fundraising page for more information and to donate: www.gofundme.com/3gew9k
I will reply to you once I've received your donation to discuss your print request and mailing information.

Thank you for thinking of us, friends.

Much love and horsie kisses,
Denise & Belle

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your encouraging comments and compliments over the months! I'm doing well, although busy at work which is why I haven't posted an overwhelming amount of pictures as of lately. I did get a chance to go to Zoo Atlanta during a family reunion in Georgia and there will be more to come from that line.

In two more short months, I'll also be returning from my first trip to AFRICA! Insanely excited and cannot wait to share those images with you when I get back.

Funnily enough with the holidays approaching (my favorite time of year), I have the gifts and whatnot all sorted out. However, with my upcoming trip to Africa and another amazing opportunity in my hopeful near future, I'm finding myself with the need for fundraising. With the holidays, this may be a great time or no so great time for this offer, depending on how you look at it. So, quick poll, I am curious to know if anyone would be interesting in purchasing my prints at a discounted rate for a good cause... And not only do you get a print out of it, but it will support some amazing future images as well ;)

If you are interested, what sizes are you looking for and what images would you like to see me offer? Thanks for your time and consideration as always.

Best Wishes & Happy Holidays,
Denise
