We spotted a steppe eagle near the waterhole first thing in the morning after setting out in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve near Sunday Pan. It was soaring above the tree line and as I watched, I secretly begged it to dip below the trees for a more pleasant backdrop. Luckily, I got one chance - and one chance only - and came out with this shot. I knew right away that I'd be pleased with it and I'm happy to share it with you!
