This is Tuukkuli (Ohlone word for "owl"), a Great Horned Owl. He has been with our zoo for 6 years after being struck by a pellet gun as a wild owl. He has permanent wing damage and is not able to fly. He is an amazingly important part of our Education Department, teaching others about owls, nocturnal animals, senses, birds in general, and what happens when wildlife and people overlap.
