My new lens arrived this morning. I have about a thousand and one things to do today, so I'm just going to post a couple teasers for now.

This isn't my favorite shot of today, but it shows what the lens can really do with enough light! The lens IS slow focusing, and needs a lot of light, as any of the long zooms would, but boy, it sure is sharp with enough sun!

Oh, and it's the Nikon 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 VR :)

It'll take some time. I wasn't counting on visiting the zoo yesterday... But the lens got here early so I felt I had to! I had a bunch of things today - of course which didn't get done, haha - but with some time, I think it'll be great. I still REALLY want the 2.8, but with the Australia trip coming up, I really wanted a little further zoom for now.
