I'm a Media student at college and we're currently studying Photography, so feel free to dismiss these comments if you would like something a little more advanced but I thought I'd voice my opinion.

First of all, I must congratulate you for capturing this wonderful Sea Lion with such an inquisitive facial expression. The way he has his head tilted with his chin up is just so adorable! He looks almost confused - as if to say "What the hell are you doing!? - which I think is just marvellous.

Positioning him to be slightly off centre looks wonderful next to your watermark. It just bring all the aspects of the image together and makes it flow nicely. To make this image a little different to the usual photographs of this kind, I think it would be suitable to crop it into a square shape from the right.

Another element that I think adds a great feel & atmosphere to the image is the bright blue sea in the background. It creates a beautiful contrasting against the subject's grey-toned skin and rocks.

One thing that I think can be improved upon is back depth of field, as personally I prefer the background it be just a tiny bit sharper, as I think he stands out a little too much - as though he's been pasted onto a random background!

Well done! I love this photo, it's definitely going into my favourites!
